My wife Amanda and I created #MakeAmericaSmartAgain to combat voter apathy and the spread of misinformation. We’re announcing #MakeAmericaSmartAgain events in Detroit (9/3) and LA (9/24) which include screenings of one of my favorite and eerily relevant films for today Idiocracy, live music, and other programming to encourage our fellow citizens to stay informed and motivate voter turnout for this upcoming election.
@librarystreetcollective will be co-hosting the #Detroit screening @theskipdetroit on 9/3 w merch by @obeyclothing. I'll be DJing with DJ Amy Dreamcatcher of @nothingelegant. Proceeds from the night benefit @votedetroit.
Our LA screening is in collaboration with @eatseehear and features an Idiocracy screening at the #EchoPark Tennis Courts and Baseball field with DJs, special guests, a live performance, and food vendors by @smorgasburgla. Proceeds will benefit the @libraryfoundla.
Debate parties and other events will be scheduled leading up to the general election on 11/8.
