To say gutted is an understatement. I wanted nothing more than to go home with a medal in the 400, but God saw something different for me. Four years ago, I couldn't even turn my tv on to watch the Olympic Games. A couple nights ago I lived my dream and gave it my all in that final! I've overcome many obstacles in my life, and this in my heart was a major victory for me. So no, I'm not going home with a medal in the 400, but I've proven to myself and shown the world that when you keep your faith, what seems impossible becomes very possible! That final showed me so many things about myself, and even your messages since then have been eye opening. As disappointed as I was, I received so much love from you guys (I read every one of your comments and messages). The most gratifying thing about this experience is in knowing that this was about my heart! To you guys, it was more than just a race, but about my spirit, attitude, and growth over the years. If I can be an example to anyone with the same dreams, then I've done my job. Thank you guys so much for taking this journey with me, and for taking the sting off of what in my human flesh I thought was a disappointment.
