One of my all-time favorite musical scenes that inspired my carousel horse #burlesque show @catherinedlish and I created in 2002. The neo-burlesque scene wasn't what it was now; I got all my inspiration from vintage photos in books and from obsessing over film scenes like this one. Catherine made the costume with an unheard of amount of pink aurora borealis @SWAROVSKI crystal and three shades of pink feathers, and we made the carousel horse prop ourselves-- two of them, in fact, because the original one was stolen about ten years ago and was never found.
