Happy #nationalbookloversday !! I loved writing my book "TAKING THE LEAD, Lessons from a life in motion." Still can't believe it made the #newyorktimesbestseller list twice.

There are times that I feel like I don't live congruent with certain lessons I have learned from the past. And I tend to beat myself up about that sometimes. But something my dad told me that stuck with me is that, lessons are meant to be learned and re-learned . It's a constant practice. Sometimes we fail sometimes we succeed, in all aspects of life.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that nobody's perfect, in fact , perfection is the lowest standard you can have. Because if you continue to strive for something that doesn't exist you will constantly be disappointed. Perfection doesn't exist but passion does.
So if you're striving to be better in some way, each day and learn to let go and forgive yourself for your short comings, then in my opinion that's perfection.
