My focus as an athlete is always on me, what I need to do, what I need for my preparations, and what I need in order to win. God's been challenging me for a while now to step away from the norm that "to be an elite athlete you have to be selfish". He has stretched my faith in so many ways these past couple weeks, challenging me to serve others, and to love on others above myself. Obedience is hard, and I really felt as though I failed every one of those challenges that came my way. This post from my amazing teammate just came at the perfect moment, and totally strengthened me. Thank you @haleyaugello for putting a smile on my face and encouraging me so much.
