American Civics: the first-ever collaboration between Shepard Fairey and the estate of Jim Marshall will be on exhibit at the @SanFranciscoArtExchange on August 13th! This series of Fine Art Limited Edition Serigraphs draw upon the iconic images of legendary photographer #JimMarshall to cultivate dialogue and inspire change. The series focuses on social justice issues: Voting Rights, Mass Incarceration, Workers' Rights, Gun Culture, and Two Americas through interpretations of Marshall’s original portraits of #JohnnyCash, #CesarChavez, #FannieLeeChaney, and others. Proceeds from the show go to charitable partners: @calibercollection (Gun Culture), @cut50 (Mass Incarceration), Legal Defense Fund (Voting Rights), @nokidhungry (Two Americas), @ufwf (Workers’ Rights). Prints available exclusively through San Francisco Art Exchange. Public Viewing from 1-4pm. Shepard will be at SFAE from 2-4pm for an appearance.
