In that time, I've tried to explain how the image creation 'business' works to people that have asked for advice as its a topic many folks are interested in... The musicians that are successful have a distinct sound that they own, one that's been developed over time and with lots of hard work. The photo and film world is the same. • Not everyone likes every type of music, you may think Radiohead is the best band in the world, but your friend may think otherwise. The same is true with photography and film. So bottom line 1) if you have a passion in the photo and film world there is probably an audience for it -- commit to an album (a body of work) that has a point of view and own it and 2) not everyone is going to love your work (not everyone loves punk) so stop trying to make everyone happy and sing (shoot) your own damn song and rock it • • Lastly if you aren't seeing the success you want that means 1) either your music stinks and it's time for a new band or 2) you aren't getting it out there in front of the right people • • There's more to it then what I can write here, but hopefully you get the idea. Personally I think it's a gold album in the making. #techtiptuesday #camp4pix
