Jamie & Anna, TABBOO!
From the first time I saw Tabboo! performing in drag at the Pyramid Club, I was inspired - in every sense of the word. His persona has always been larger-than-life and his energy absolutely magical. From the outset of this collection, it was a dream of mine to ask Tabboo! if he would consider collaborating with me to bring his incredible artistry and vision to our collection.
As an artist, Tabboo!'s references, knowledge, and creativity are absolutely boundless. His eye and artistic vision is unique, thoughtful and extraordinarily considered.
As a person, he brought his joy, kindness, generosity and beautiful sense of humor to the design studio, lighting up all of us who had the privilege of working along side him.
The opportunity to collaborate with an artist like Tabboo! and the musicians, actors, models, stylists and other creators, in any capacity, is one of the greatest pleasures and rewards of my job and one that continues to stimulate, energize and always keep me wanting more!
Wearing two of the extraordinary couture pieces from this collection are my two dear friends and great muses Jamie Bochert and Anna Cleveland photographed by David Sims for our Fall/Winter 2016 ad campaign.
