Arriving in Pittsburgh late last night under a heavy rain storm I was overjoyed and relieved to find an Ace Hotel! Housed in an old YMCA, the hotel kept retained rugged elements while smoothing out the rough edges after years of neglect. Above is the original gym (note the running track on the second floor) now a game room/bar/dining room. I'm intrigued by what could be developing in Pittsburgh and curious enough to return soon. I also love the misty fog (at least the two times I've visited) that always seems to hang over the city during summer mornings. #acehotelpittsburgh @acehotel
