It was my lifeline as a struggling artist/ actress.. ::::
Tonight I opened one of my favorite mother books by Peggy Omara called a quiet place. She uses this poem as the foundation for one of the essays. Applying it to motherhood to parenting :: saying there is only one you : stop looking to experts ways of doing it and trust yourself.
She also writes " self knowledge also allows us to appreciate our limitations as well as our strengths. Even while we claim our authority as parents, even while we make decisions in the most authentic and original way we know how, we don't have to be right. We just have to be ourselves.
