Sometimes I wonder if the hardship or failure or scrape is really just a gift in disguise because maybe it was the necessary means to crack the heart open to receive the full measure of kindness, grace and love. It doesn't feel fun to be seen in our messy humanity but then we don't experience the depth of connection and life and love without it. Today I am thankful for these moments because there would be no worthwhile victories without them. There would be no compelling stories to tell. And we would never discover our fullest potential and greatness and strength otherwise. •
This morning I knew that the Montegrappa Fortuna Copper Mule (back in stock at @gouletpens) was just the pen I needed to journal out these thoughts. It's my new favorite #edc instrument that comes everywhere with me and reminds me that my own varnish is sometimes the very means that is transformed into a beautiful patina. I've been looking for something special to pair with the Mule and when I discovered @galen_leather I knew that it would be the perfect match. I received the kindest package of their goods yesterday evening and I was astounded by their excellence and attention to detail.
