I went for a hike w a friend outside California about a month ago. we decided to walk barefoot, walking and looking at the flowers and grass i stepped carefully trying to not step on anything sharp or jagged or alive...we were walking for about 40 minutes when i realized how much i was thinking about each step i took. Quite opposite of when i was wearing my shoes and walking quickly and almost recklessly. Perhaps it's time we as humans beings on this beautiful planet take off our shoes... ???
