In April 2010, in Zimbabwe, a cheetah gave birth to five cubs. Sadly, within two days she and four of her cubs were fatally attacked by a male lion. The sole survivor was rescued by a game scout named ‘Sylvester’. The small cheetah was named after his rescuer. Cheetah do not survive in the wild without experiencing the maternal care of a mother. Due to this fact, Sylvester acts as an Ambassador cheetah, spreading the word about the many threats faced by cheetah in the wild today. And here we are with our new friend.
