Ok, I admit I'd been hoping that Hillary would've picked Bernie sanders or Elizabeth warren or Cory booker as her running mate. But to his credit #timkaine is a former civil rights lawyer with a largely progressive voting record, and apparently he's a genuinely good guy. Again, not the most exciting choice, but we as progressives should have one goal: make sure that #trump never, ever becomes president. I know some progressives disagree, but our next president will either be #hillaryclinton or #trump. The Green Party is great, but will maybe get 2% of the vote. And in 2000 the Green Party essentially gave the presidency to gw bush. So now in my opinion is not the time for petty in-fighting or ideological purity tests, it's the time to make sure that #trump never ever ever becomes president.
