PSA ANNOUNCEMENT: For those of you cutting weight and eating sugar-free gum to help the cravings, make sure that it is completely out of reach of dogs. Yesterday while at practice, Chewy decided to climb onto the table to take my gum and ate a whole pack. Sugar-free gum has xylitol in it. The toxicity levels of the chemical is so high that dogs cannot digest it properly and it can cause liver failure and low blood sugar in dogs and can kill them. I am so thankful to have a vet for a friend @stephenstockdale9 that told me immediately to take him into the hospital otherwise we could've lost him and not even known what the problem was. It has been a rough 24 hours and they still have to monitor him tonight but he's doing well. I don't know what I would do without this monster, I love him so much.
