I am now the official worldwide patron to the 'Make a wish foundation'. Which grants the wishes of children living with life threatening illnesses.
I have worked with Make a Wish for nearly 10 years now, I meet a child from Make a wish before almost every show I do around the world, but I don't often post about it on social media.
I don't not do it for anything other than to bring hope to the kids and to help make their lives better in any which way I can.
Being in and out of hospital my whole life with the heart disease I have, I feel connected to these kids. They just wanted to be treated like everyone else. I love meeting them and getting to know them and their stories. The thought that I bring them a little joy and excitement in these awful days of pain and struggle is one of the reasons I don't give up.
It's puts life into perspective, there is always someone worse of than you. Who is complaining way less. The things that make the media are often so uninspiring and negative. These kids deserve all the praise for being fighters, for being brave and for being so special! Which is why I am posting this! I love all of you! I believe in all of you! ?❤️
Yesterday a wish I made came true. I asked Fox to let me organise a private exclusive screening of Ice Age for 35 kids in NYC.
Being in the film means I have the chance to do these things which fill my soul up more than anything else.
I loved every minute of this yesterday.
Thank you to Fox, thank you to make a wish foundation, but most of all thank you to all the amazing kids and families I met yesterday and have met through out the years. You are STARS ❤️
