QUICK UPDATE FROM THE VET'S OFFICE:

Zowie is not a happy camper... He just got a shot of steroids because his gingivitis has gotten worse and his mouth ulcers are swollen and inflamed. The shot should last 2-3 weeks and then around that time, I'll call the vet to check if we should resume his oral Prednisolone. The vet (Dr. Teo) says that chronic gingivitis is common in FIV+ cats and that we may have to change the way it's being managed down the road but we'll cross that bridge if/when we come to it.
In other news, William also has gingivitis and he just got two shots: steroids and antibiotics - and now we're waiting for the results of his FIV/FeLV blood test... Paws crossed for both to be negative!
