@studio_nienkehoogvliet spent two years studying #seaweed and the possibility of using it as a material in #design and the results are pretty cool. The collection includes a #chair and a #table - the chair’s seat was woven with seaweed yarn that had been naturally dyed with seaweed. What was leftover from this initial project was used to create the #paint that’s used on the tabletop. That paint waste was then used to make the bio-plastic #bowls on top of the table. Their goal was for the #waste materials from one process to be used in the next process in hopes of producing #zerowaste.
