Ali’, 8, and ‘Amira’, 5, pose for a photo outside of the family's temporary home in an unfinished house in the Kurdistan region of #Iraq. The family made a terrifying journey across Iraq, Syria and Turkey to flee heavy bombing and fighting in Baiji. The family paid a people smuggler to take them by car across Syria towards the western border with Turkey, constantly afraid they may be caught by armed groups.
