Since July 13th is @TheRoots 7th album anniversary (#TheTippingPoint) I thought I'd share the alt cover ideas we did with @GravillisINC (like roots albums we always have a "plan a...b....c...d" with everything--- #KennyGravillis has designed practically every album cover of ours since #ThingsFallApart. Always felt like our Album cover scheme never got enough props tho whenever those lists are compiled. One day he will get those props) of the 10 ideas he gave us we settled on the photo of #MalcolmLittle's #DetroitRed mugshot---because that was a transformation moment of him turning into #MalcolmX because of our deal with the estate we were not allowed to use the cover in commercials or advertisement hence the alternative cover of @BlackThought in the same pose.
