My dip pens were getting lonely and needed some love today. I keep coming back to the Brause 361 Steno Blue Pumpkin nib (available at @johnnealbookseller) and I think it's fair to say that it is my hands-down favorite. It is the least finicky of the lot and lays a nice smooth line with fantastic line variation. Today was the first day I tested it out with the Montegrappa Bordeaux fountain pen ink (available at @chatterleyluxuries) and I am delighted to report that their ink works magnificently with dip pen calligraphy. It is among the best I've used and its ink shading is just gorgeous (not to mention it comes in a beautiful bottle and being that I have such a penchant for details, this makes it all the better).
