Our next weekly content creator is @tommy.clarke. Check out his story here: "I got started in photography when I was about 16 years old. I had just broken my back in a snowboarding accident and had to stop playing for a few months. Back then, playing sports was my life, but I still travelled with the team to matches and decided to take pictures of the games instead. That led to some positive feed back from my peers, which encouraged me to keep pursuing photography. I have a great friend of the family who taught me the basics about exposure, apertures and framing and I was set! I was late to @Instagram. I was living in Sydney and thought I should probably hop on the bandwagon! After a few weeks on it, I realized that with filters and a few alterations, people could get their photos looking pretty good! So that’s when I decided to set up my first helicopter ride and shoot the beaches there, as I wanted to create something that my friends at the coffee shop couldn't do on their iPhones. Being such a visual platform, @Instagram is a vital medium for me as I can share my work with thousands of people for no cost at all. It took a while to learn how to use it as a progressive tool and to be honest, I am still learning! Explorers and Naturalists have always inspired me, from David Attenborough to Jaques Cousteau, people that can you give an insight into the world that you don't get to see in every day life. Photography was a form of escapism for me growing up. That grew within me so that now I can offer people views of the world from unique angles and hopefully ignite some wanderlust within them. Specifically, my favorite photographer is Massimo Vitali with his large format photos of slightly over exposed beaches in Italy - my aim is to own one, one day! And although I am an aerial photographer, I am also a huge fan of it and really enjoy seeing other people’s work that connects with me on @Instagram. I’m just a fan of photography as a whole! I have recently fallen in love with the Island of Antigua, I've shot there twice this year and would happily go back tomorrow to shoot again. But Australia is the winner for me!"
