At first I found this album to be angry. It seemed to propagate male hate. -Not energy I want to invest in.
But the melodies and varied sounds via diverse collaborations kept my interest.
Some of the lyrics however harsh were still powerful. Who hasn't been disappointed in love?
What am I denying myself by shutting down from the truth she sings about? How brave to share on a global level her pain... I actually admire that.
Her emotion is palpable, real, raw. Bold artistry.
I am so glad I stayed with it.
It's genius work.
At the end of the day, it's a journey. We all have our stuff, no matter how wonderful our lives may appear to others. I am glad Beyonce shared this part of her journey with us. I find it cathartic. ?
