The one time I met the late great Nobel Laureate Elie Wiesel…. I was on stage at a banquet. Jon Stewart was hosting. We were honoring Alan King for his charitable endeavors. Mr. Weisel walked in late and headed straight to the table right in front of the stage. I didn’t quite have my roastmaster reputation yet but I still said something like, “Mr. Weisel, may you “never forget” what time the event starts”. He laughed, sat down and ate his cold dinner. Afterwards, we all took this picture, which has been proudly displayed in my office ever since. Long live the great writer, humanitarian and SURVIVOR, #ElieWiesel
