Titan Arum (Amorphophallus Titanum) "Corpse Plant" is an endangered species native to Sumatra, Indonesia and blooms only once every 2-5 yrs and takes 7-10 yrs from seed to flowering. Contributing to the plant’s exotic allure is its pungent odor of rotting flesh, which serves to attract the carrion beetles that pollinate the flower. Normally only blooming for one days time this one stayed open longer than the others, but I missed it yesterday, still so happy nerding out in its presence, at least I didn't have to smell the dead fish aroma.
