#LonelyPlanet Marketing Coordinator @joedavis_ is just back from #Glastonbury2016! Thanks to the wonderful British weather he got stuck in the mud once or twice but thanks to some sturdy wellies managed to capture this shot! ☔️ Which summer festivals are on your list for 2016? --
#GlastonburyFestival is the largest green field music and performing arts festival in the world. It takes place over 900 acres of land in The Vale of Avalon and the site is more than a mile and a half wide.

Now famous for its annual musical mudfest held on Michael Eavis' farm in nearby #Pilton, the town of #Glastonbury has a much more ancient past: it's iconic tor was an important pagan site, and is rumoured by some to be the mythical Isle of #Avalon, King Arthur's last resting place.
