If passed, the law would ban abortion outright: no matter whether pregnancy is the result of a rape, endangers the woman's health or if the fetus is severely damaged, the woman would be forced to give birth. The draft of the law asks for strict judicial consequences against those not complying with the ban: not only would abortion doctors and women who undergo the procedure be prosecuted, but any miscarriage would be the subject of criminal investigation, potentially ending with prosecution and a prison sentence if not caused naturally.
