Where is the support when it really counts? Where is your family and your day dot homies? Call me corny, tell me I'm preaching, diminish my post into it being a a RANT!!! Likely this post won't get too many "likes" and or comments- I think of the worst thing that you can think of after this post...... I have to keep it ALL the way 1,000 + right now....... A black man graduating at the TOP of his class with honors after landing a full scholarship and PHD gets no love......... But if this same black man would of did 8 years in prison for attempted murder he would of had a full welcome home parade and full coming home celebration - people talk so much shit about HOW were being treated and how were still in a space even in 2016 where WE as black people feel less than others.... We have to change these habits and patterns in order to affect change....... Im not preaching I'm just speaking that REAL..... Blogs, press and media have to do better with highlighting black successful smart and sharp minds of our world..... This graduation should of been featured ALL OVER the news.... But if there was a random stabbing or a shooting at the graduations it would of made EVERY HEADLINE and NEWSPAPER COVER........ And that's a shame..... I guess it's true that positivity is boring - Stay encouraged world and everyone who's graduating this year I love you and I'm so very proud of you for starting and staying the course and actually graduating you are just amazing for staying the course!!!!!!!!!
