Happy #InternationalYogaDay! To celebrate, @ELLE UK's resident yogi @fernrossyoga demonstrates the classical sun salutation. Try doing 5-10 rounds at home and get some zen. Steps below:

1. Stand tall at the front of your mat, feet together, inhale arms up, palms facing inwards.
2. Swan dive down to a forward fold (bend the knees as much as you need to).
3. Inhale up halfway with a flat back.
4. Step the right leg back, lower the knee and inhale up to low lunge.
5. Step back to high plank.
6. Lower the knees, then hug the elbows into the sides and lower the rest of the body down in a straight line.
7. Bring the hands under the shoulders, press the pubic bone into the mat, draw the naval into the spine and inhale up to cobra.
8. Exhale back into downward dog.
9. Inhale raise the right leg high, then draw it through and place the foot between the hands and find low lunge.
10. Step the left forward to meet the right, then fold.
11. Keep a soft bend in the knees and roll up one vertebrae at a time to standing.
12. Repeat the above sequence starting with the left leg.
