Typically, a surfboard guide by a magazine is a pay-to-play arrangement that will deliver a reader three to four models with a small spiel on each. We're currently shooting #stabinthedark in South Africa right now with Dane Reynolds. This project is about trying to find the world's best performance surfboard. The boards are delivered to us completely blank and the only commercial arrangement is that the shaper supplies Stab one surfboard for free. Thirteen of the world's best shapers took part and we'll reveal shapers (and results) the next few months. Photo: @alanvangysen
