Introducing this year’s winner of the Clarins Most Dynamisante Woman of the Year Award: Jaime Thurston of @52.lives This dynamic and inspiring lady set up 52 Lives, a charity which helps connect members of the public with people in need. Each week, Jaime selects one person from the hundreds of nominations and posts a little about their story along with what they need on to the 52 Lives Facebook page. Members of the public can then donate to help this person: whether it is their time, a specific item or even a financial contribution. All of these things go a long way to help the person in need, but what really stands out is the simple act of kindness from a stranger. Based on this principle, in collaboration with Clarins and YOU magazine, Jaime will set about launching The Kindness Project a programme that will go in to schools nationwide. The team will host workshops, sharing with classes the story of a child who needs help somewhere in the country – and ways they can help that child. “We’ll be helping individual children, through the actions of others” says Jaime, “But it’s really about creating a culture of kindness, while making them see that changing someone’s life doesn’t have to be something big and grand, it might be about one child doing something kind for another child in the school.” A simple idea that has the potential to ripple out in to society… Read Jaime’s full story at Daily Mail online here: http://dailym.ai/1UpuLu0
