I've always called my Dad, "Papa" because in those two syllables lies an ancient affection, admiration and childlike awe that sums up my experience of my father. He is wise, gentle, curious, connected, brave and spirited. He lives by strong principles of goodness and kindness. What a blessing to have a father in my life that consistently demonstrates spiritual growth and his own unfolding. He walked me in to my wedding this year to celebrate my marriage and he blessed our gathering with a smudging ceremony- this is a moment that I will treasure forever.
