Before I was a DJ all I ever cared about was the bands I played in and the bands I was able to help get their start using my label @DimMak. I met Alison when she was in her previous band called Discount and they played in my living room we called the #PicklePatch (my college years). Years later in 2002 she sent me the first @thekills demos and I changed my life from heading to graduate school to pursue a Ph.D. to running #DimMak full time and putting out #TheKills first Ep in America. From that point on for at least a year I spent a lot of my time on the road with Jamie & Alison as their tour manager, merch dude, and their first US label. In the beginning It was just us three traveling in a mini van listening to Captain Beefheart front to back over and over again. Every time I see them it brings me back to the early days of Dim Mak & a different era of music I was involved in. Love these two forever.
