What apps will you be making this #weekend for #FathersDay?
For the candied bacon
1 Tbls Black Peppercorn
1 Tbls Pink Peppercorn
1 Tbls Sweet smoked paprika
2 Cups Brown Sugar
1 Tbls Salt
12 Slices of thick cut bacon, cut in half
-Grind spices in spice grinder until fine, then combine with sugar and salt in large bowl.
-Take bacon slices and toss them in the spice mixture, and lay them out on a sheet tray.
-Bake in the oven at 325° for around 15 minutes, you want the bacon rendered, but not fully cooked.
-Let cool to room temperature.

For the Stuffed Figs
12 Black Mission Figs, cut in half
½# Gorgonzola Dolce
-Spoon the cheese on to the halved figs, you want equal amount fig and cheese. Place the fig and cheese at one end of the bacon, roll it up and use a tooth pick to hold them together.
- Place rolled Devils on a sheet tray and warm through before serving. It doesn't take long, around 2 minutes, you don't want to cook out all that cheese you just went through the time of stuffing in there!
