I've been spending a lot of time in reflection over the past few days, trying to process the horrific attack in Orlando and what I, and all of us, can do to make a change. I'm struggling to find compassion but I'm trying. And I'm trying to keep an open heart and mind as everyone tries to heal and connect and understand each other. So today I'm focusing on sending everyone affected by this terrible tragedy all of my energy and love. Staying connected and listening, loving and supporting everyone is one of the best tools we have right now. As we head into this weekend's Pride events upstate, I want nothing more than to connect with everyone and anyone (LGBTQ and allies) who shares the goal of hearing and understanding everyone's stories, hopes and dreams. Too many people's were cut short this weekend to not appreciate the importance and preciousness of everyone's life and story.
