"If you Google me, the first image that pops up is my face-plant at the 2012 Olympic Trials in Oregon. It was a really rainy day and I was racing the 800m. Coming off the curve with only 120 meters to go, I tried passing a group of runners but one of them fell and I couldn’t clear her - because I'm not a hurdler- so I fell, too. I remember thinking, “You still have a chance!” But it was shocking, uncomfortable, and embarrassing. My brother put that image as the background on my phone. Because if you’re gonna face-plant, might as well get a good photo out of it.”— ?
