This violence happens everyday!
Everywhere.
Right now, this very second, injustices and cruelty are happening all around our home. This planet. They are being done to all living beings.
From the child soldiers of Uganda, Sri Lanka and more.
To the violent drug war and government corruption in my country of Mexico.
From terrorist attacks here to those we know of in France and those the powers that be, keep from us.
From racist, sexist barbarism by the Republican candidate and gun shootings all around the United States.
To the sex trade and pedophile industry all over the world.
From the innocent refugees and immigrants who's only dream is to have a safe place to belong to.

To...just name a very small percentage of the darkness of our world.

So, yes! You can do all the praying you wish for the countries and people that the media is choosing to tell you about.

BUT please...if you are going to pray also stand up for your prayers.
And more importantly than praying...BE!
Be a better, more whole human being to all those around you, including yourself.

Be more conscious. Loving. Kind. Honest. Humble. Just.

Be that God, to whom you pray to.
Be a reflection of how you would like your God to be.

Today I'm not just thinking of the pain the victims families must be in, or the anger my LGBT friends must be feeling, for this is again, a bullet not just to the hearts of who they are but to the struggle they all have endured, that WE know nothing about.
I'm also thinking of us all. The world we share. Our only home.

I choose to not turn a blind eye on any injustice. But that's because I also choose to create a consciousness within, that hopefully can dictate my everyday choices and help me act in a way that is the most beneficial to us all living beings and to our planet. I choose to not turn a blind eye on the injustices and cruelty done to ALL others. To all of us.
To our true countrymen.
HUMANITY.
Stand up, speak up, fight for what's right and after you've done all that, than yes, go home and pray, and pray hard that your actions may bring forth a wave of LOVE and PEACE.
But please do not just pray...BE.
