When I was 14 years old, my mom would drop me off at the Boys and Girls Club. She was a single mom with a full-time job and would take me after school. My mentor at the Boys and Girls Club knew that I wanted to DJ and he gave me my first vinyl. I was so short I had to stand on an apple box to reach the turn tables.
