The last surviving Sept. 11 search dog has died. The Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department in Harris County, Texas, says Bretagne was a founding canine member of its search-and-rescue team in 2000. She joined members of Texas Task Force One to search for people in the rubble of the World Trade Center, later responding to disasters like hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
