My daily sources of inspiration: a beautiful pen, plenty of notebooks and a great book. The Aurora Optima Monviso 360 fountain pen is a gorgeous handcrafted work of art and I find myself making a lot more extra time to journal and sketch out my thoughts and daydreams because it is just such a joy to write with. I'm learning more and more with investment pieces that quality definitely outweighs quantity. I'd gladly trade in my twenty everyday pens for one amazing pen that will stay with me for a lifetime and travel with me through the chapters and journey along the way. It has more meaning and value and character, at least for me. •
So naturally I couldn't help but drift into my daydreams of traveling the world starting with my number one #bucketlist place, Italy! Yesterday's @ニューヨーク・タイムズ happened to feature a beautiful article on #Sicily and now I've got the #travelbug itch. I can already see myself sitting at a cafe drinking *real* espresso and just taking in the beauty of the sights, the people and the old buildings around. Talk about an #urbansketcher dream which is why I'll be toting my favorite #illustration book, "100+1 Drawing Ideas for Sketchnoters and Doodlers" by Mauro @xlontrax Toselli to help me get started with my travel sketching. This is the book that elevated my confidence to give urban sketching a try and his steps are easy to follow! Give me a stack of some @baronfig Vanguard notebooks, my Standard Memorandum, a good camera and my @thisisground Mod Mobile, and I'm ready to hit the streets, travel light, experience new things and open my heart to the wonder all around me. So here's to keeping your dreams alive, looking for the hidden treasures and making time to invest in yourself! The world will radiate all the more for it. ✨
