This sums is up folks. 20+ years ago @TheRoots were fighting to survive and make an impact by playing European Festivals so that just maybe one day we can bring the concept of our own festival back home to Philadelphia. The coolest thing about this year's #RootsPicnic was the span of all the Philly legends that came to support and reunite from #DjJazzyJeff & #TheFreshPrince to #JillScott to #KindredTheFamilySoul to #MeekMill to #LilUziVert #JasmineSullivan to #LilDicky to #RichMedina so many more Philadelphian natives. I guess that's gonna be our legacy when all is said & done. We bridge communities & generations together.
