We celebrate Tapio Wirkkala who would have turned 101 years old today! Wirkkala, the embodiment of modern Finnish design, was an exceptionally versatile and prolific designer and artist who never felt constrained by limits imposed by materials, functions or professional disciplines. His TW003 Pendant Lights, reintroduced by Artek in 2013, is one of his popular designs.
