Exile on Main St by the Rolling Stones has been a huge inspiration to us as a band. The album somehow manages to sound so honest and real - which is surprisingly difficult to achieve when you're recording. The guitars sound like guitars, the vocals sound like real people singing, etc. And the songs themselves have stood the test of time. I think hearing it gave us permission to sound like ourselves. A band like us, hearing this album 30 years after its release, it still somehow felt like an epiphany.
