Father's Day is not quite here yet but I don't need a special occasion to celebrate my dad. He's the person who taught me to how to dream big and bigger, and to dare to go after those dreams audaciously without settling. He's the one who taught me how to catch a fish, drive a manual, change a flat, swing a good right hook, and he's also the one who taught me to wear the prettiest dress, to keep my heart soft, to never lessen my standard for anyone, to feel at home in the finest of restaurants and who instilled a love of enriching literature and culture. He's my first hero and even now every time he calls on the phone, I'm still like that little girl who rushed to the door squealing when he would come home from work. A daughter will never outgrow her dad. And a dad will always be her first hero. Today's #everydaycarry is dedicated to mine. Thank you for being the best, Dad. I love you. ❤️
