“I didn’t really know I was artistic. It just kind of came to me. I started painting first. Then I transferred those into digital works. I found my love for art in hip-hop and combined the two. When I first started painting, it was kind of like a puzzle. I would make different shapes then connect them to make the portrait. When I saw artists creating more cohesive drawings and paintings, I did that. I still kept the shape and highlights and shadows, but it looked more consistent. And then it progressed into what it is today.” —@joshh_pearson, a 22-year-old artist out of Vancouver, Washington.
