Bilal, a Syrian refugee has finally been safely reunited with family in the UK after being stuck in the Jungle in Calais for 7 months. Bilal says "there are other children like me, fleeing war, travelling alone or stuck in refugee camps in Europe - trying to reach family in the UK. I am so lucky to be in London now, with my brother and looking forward to going back to school. But every day I think about my friends who are still stuck in Calais, or other children in places like Italy or Greece. I want to help”. It is unacceptable that refugee children have been stuck for months in wretched camps, despite having a legal right to be with their families waiting for them in the UK.
