Last October in South Sudan, government soldiers in the town of Leer pressed more than 50 men into a shipping container. By the next afternoon, all the men died. Only one 13-year-old boy survived the atrocity. “It was so full, you could not change your position,” the boy told TIME's Africa correspondent @arynebaker. “If you were standing up, you could not sit down, and if you were sitting down, you could not stand up.” The bodies of those who died were dumped about a kilometer away.
