Views from the mixing bowl. About a year ago, Joy Wilson (aka @joythebaker) was randomly thinking about Drake and how funny it would be to write some of his lyrics on her own desserts. After finishing each one, she would inevitably share them on her new handle, @drakeoncake, and with friends and neighbors –– even if they weren’t in on the joke. “This older lady lived down the street from me and I would give her my cakes,” says Joy, whose past @ドレイク-inspired desserts include lyrics like, “What a time to be alive” and, “You finer than your fine cousin.” “They always had crazy lyrics on them and she never said a word. I think she thought of me as this crazy girl that wrote weird things on cakes. I gave her ‘Toodles to you bitches’ and she was like, ‘Thanks, honey! Right on.’ There was no explanation.”
