So happy Mike Wolfe is shining a spotlight on amazing places that matter - I'm honored to fight for old cherished theaters in New York! #thisplacematters @mikewolfeamericanpicker Boarded up on 42nd street is the Times Square Theater, closed since the early 90s, when it was a movie theater playing horror films that were almost as scary as was walking on 42nd at the time - now Disneyfied, the street would be thrilled to have another Broadway play house - once called the Apollo, there hasn't been a play on its stage since 1983. Too many beautiful theaters in New York are boarded up collecting dust when they could be expanding minds! It nearly became a clothing store recently - nooooo!!!!
