Happy Mother's Day to my mom. She sacrificed so much for my brother and I. Leaving her country to start a family with my father and never turning her back-that had to be tough and scary- especially in the 70's! . I never really remember her spending money on herself but she always made sure we never went without. Even tho we may have had Atari while the neighbors had CollecoVision- she saved those coins and made sure we visited Italy 6 times to ensure we knew both sides of our heritage. The second jobs, the late nights working, instilling morals in us that we fussed at your Strictness THEN but we appreciate NOW. I credit you with making me the hard worker I am today and making sure I knew I NEVER had to take shortcuts or wait to be saved by some man and to be independent in order to maintain my dignity and pride. I watched you work and provide for us and it stuck mom!! Thank you for all of that- including not letting me be a "fast girl" when I wanted to wear eye liner in 5th grade and you were NOT having it!! Lol hope you have a great Mother's Day! Love ya!
